Hungary is fast emerging as a dynamic hub for animation education, offering aspiring artists multiple entry points into the industry—from hands-on training to theory-driven exploration. And this year, Hungarian animation is making waves not only in classrooms but also on the international stage at Annecy.
🎬 Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) – Learn from the Best
Annecy-selected directors Áron Gauder (Four Souls of Coyote) and László Csáki (Pelikan Blue) are not only making headlines at the world’s top animation festival—they’re also sharing their expertise as lecturers at METU.
This makes METU a unique training ground where students can learn directly from active, award-winning filmmakers.
The university offers BA and MA programs in both English and Hungarian, with a strong focus on teamwork, production experience, and specialization in 2D/stop-motion or 3D animation. Students work on real-world projects and build the hard and soft skills necessary for a professional career.
📍 Meet METU at the Hungarian Booth (B.11)
